If you have not read about the Connor’s on my blog your missing out. They are a great family and I have fallen in love with their two children, Katelyn and Laura Beth. This family has gone through their share of hard times over the past year. Their three year old daughter, Katelyn, was diagnosed with cancer. Katelyn and her parents are in and out of the hospital as Katelyn undergoes treatment. They are often away from their youngest daughter, Laura Beth, which is difficult for the entire family. When Christa called me and asked me to take Laura Beth’s one year pictures I was thrilled. When you go through difficult times you learn to really appreciate the little things in life…like a little girl turning one!!! Let me tell you, this cutie gave me a run for my money. She would not stand up, cried if any part of her body touched the grass, and hated the headbands I put on her head. The heat, humidity, and two bouts of rain did not help the situation. I could not get her to even look my way unless I barked like a dog or jumped up and down clapping my hands. I was definitely getting some curious glances from the people across the street.
However, after a few rounds of peek-a-boo and a tickle here and there this sweet little girl was all smiles!!
Please keep the Connor’s in your prayers. You can follow their story at http://www.ourturkey.blogspot.com/.
