Zoey will turn three next month and I can officially say she is potty trained. It seems like we have been potty training for over a year. After spending a small fortune on gummy bears, stickers, and pull-ups we have accomplished our mission. However, out in public a recently potty-trained toddler puts a few kinks in your plans. Needless to say, Dad made several dozen trips to the bathroom with a little girl who maybe-sort-of-might-have-to-go or who really just wanted to explore the newest public bathroom. As you can guess the local auction barn has no clean and neat family restrooms for Dad and Zoey to visit. Therefore, Zoey had to join Dad in the men’s restroom. Joey and I both have a phobia about public restroom germs and cringe each time Zoey “announces” she needs to go the bathroom at the worst possible locations. However, Zoey and Joey made it back from the “moo-moo sale” and were proud to report that Zoey had no accidents. So you can imagine my surprise this morning when I walked into the bathroom to find a wet floor. I usually assist my daughter in the bathroom; however, on this particular day I was dealing with baby boy’s diaper needs. What can I say, I can only handle one bottom at a time. When I asked my daughter what happen she gave me a simple explanation. She was trying to use the bathroom like Daddy. Needless to say her experiment required a bath, change of clothes, and mopping duty. However, I could do nothing more than laugh. What can I say…a little girl can learn a lot at a “moo-moo sale”.
